Full Re-installation

If People Directory Plus is not showing up after installation or you are experiencing issues with a corrupted deployment, follow these steps to fully uninstall and reinstall the app.

Note: This process will remove the app and all its configuration from the site. You may want to back up your configuration JSON before proceeding (copy it from Advanced → JSON5 Configuration in the settings panel).

Step 1: Remove the app from Site Contents

  1. Navigate to Site Contents on the site where the app was added.
  2. Find NODE VISION - People Directory Plus in the list.
  3. Hover over the item and click the three dots to display the context menu. If you are on the modern SharePoint experience, you may need to switch to Classic SharePoint to see the context menu.
  4. Click Remove.

Step 2: Empty the recycle bin

  1. Navigate to Site Settings Recycle Bin.
  2. Find the app in the recycle bin and delete it (or click Empty Recycle Bin).
  3. Click the Second-stage recycle bin link at the bottom of the page and remove the app from there as well.
This step is important! If you skip the second-stage recycle bin, SharePoint may not allow you to reinstall the app.

Step 3: Remove from the App Catalog

  1. Navigate to your tenant App Catalog (SharePoint Admin Center → More features → Apps → App Catalog).
  2. Open the Apps for SharePoint library.
  3. Find and delete the People Directory Plus .sppkg file.

Step 4: Reinstall

  1. Download the latest .sppkg file from the product page.
  2. Upload it to the App Catalog and deploy.
  3. Approve any API permission requests in the SharePoint Admin Center → API access page.
  4. Add the web part to a page and configure it.
